Just a few days left open in September

It’s been a crazy-busy summer for Last Hurrah Charters.  We have chased fish all over the middle and upper Chesapeake Bay.  Rockfish season resumed on 9/1 and will go until December 10th this year.  The boat is back in Herrington Harbour North Marina, in Tracy’s Landing, Maryland.  It is one of the nicest marinas in the country and we are glad to be in our primary slip.  Nothing has been easy in 2020, but we have persevered and filled the fish-box on almost all of our trips.  Bottom-fishing for Norfolk Spot and White Perch is still on fire, and we will continue to live-line for Rockfish until the bait becomes scarce.

These are our last open dates for September:  9th 14th, 15th, 22nd, 28th, 29th and 30th.

Here are some pics from the last couple of weeks….

Spanish Mackerel Time! Open August Dates.

The Last Hurrah is back in Tracy’s Landing (Deale) and we will be chasing Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish for the next two weeks.  This is a blast and the limits are much higher than most fish—-15 macs per man and 5 blues per man.  Let’s go fill the fish-box!  We have the following open dates:
August 18, 19, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29-am only,  30-am only, and 31.

We can take up to 6 customers but less is fine.  Let’s go catching!

Summer is Nearly Over….Time for one Last Hurrah!

Hey Fish Fans,
It’s been a stellar season so far.  We’ve fished the last 80+ days straight and boxed Rockfish limits on all but three trips.  It’s too windy to fish today, but the rest of the week should be fine.  We have a Rockfishing charter open this Sunday, August 9th due to a cancellation!  We’re still running out of Annapolis.  We also have Spanish Mackerel/Bluefishing combo trips open:  August 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 leaving from Tracy’s Landing/Deale, MD.
We can take a max of 6 customers and everything is included but First Mate’s tip.  Let’s go Catching!

Fishing is Hotter Than The Weather !!

Summer is flying by quickly, and NOW is the time to book your Chesapeake Bay fishing trip!  We have just a few dates available before September.  It’s looking like we’ll be fishing out of Annapolis until at least mid-August.  Live-Lining for Rockfish has been good to stellar most days with a few successful “grinds” mixed in to keep things interesting.  There is no Rockfishing allowed from August 16th through the 31st.  This will be the time to whack-n-stack, Spanish Macs!   Last year was the best Spanish Mackerel run in Chesapeake history with 30 to 50 fish catches being commonplace.  Bluefish are also starting to make their way up the Bay.  Shoot us an email today and let’s go catching!

Light Tackle Fishing Out of Annapolis

Hey light-tackle fans,

Live-Lining has begun!!  We are now using light spinning rods to battle Striped Bass 19 to 32 inches.  Fishing could not possibly be any better.  The catching is fast and furious most trips.  We are currently docked in Annapolis and offering morning and afternoon departures.

OPEN DATES:
June  29th is now open due to a cancellation.

July  7 (pm only), 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23, 29, 31 for am or pm.

We’re in Annapolis & the Fishing Doesn’t Get Any Better!

We are currently fishing out Annapolis in order to reach the best fishing.  Fishing is as good as it gets right now with fast limits of nice Rockfish and all of the White Perch and Spot you want.  June is fully booked but here are our remaining open dates for next month:

July 3, 6, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 31.

Let’s Go Catchin’!!!

Fishing is ON FIRE. Let’s Go Catching!

Fishing is fantastic and should only get better.  We have fished every day since May 16th and caught limits on every trip.  The fish haven’t even schooled up yet, so the action should even improve in the coming weeks.   If you’re serious, forget weekends—Huge, ignorant crowds diminish the experience and make everything more difficult.  Weekdays are best and the benefits are worth missing work.
OPEN JUNE DATES:  2, 3, 9, 11, 14, 16, 22, 23, 25, 29, 30.

Charter Operations and Covid-19 Update

Last Hurrah Charters will commence charter operations on May 16th with some special precautions.  We will be providing sanitizer on board, wiping surfaces frequently, and requiring customers to wear masks while in the confined space of the wheelhouse.

Starting May 16th, charterboats are allowed 2 striped bass per customer at 19 inches or larger.   The last few weeks of May can be some of the best fishing of the year.  We offer a 5:30 a.m. trip and an afternoon trip that departs at noon or 1:00.  We may be moving the boat to our Annapolis marina in June depending on where the fishing is better.   We can take a max of six customers, but less is fine.

Currently, May 16, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 are available.

Please contact us today to book your trip!
