You Won’t Wanna’ Miss It!

The last five weeks has provided some of the best summer striper fishing that I have ever witnessed.  The fishing couldn’t be any better…. but the bookings have room for improvement.  The last two weeks of July is closed for Striped Bass fishing.  We’re now filling the last, few July dates as well as building August.  Time for one “last hurrah” before summer is in the rearview. Let’s make it count!

The Bite is Right, Tight, & Outta’ Sight!

Rarely have I seen a light-tackle, live-lining bite as good as what we’ve enjoyed the last few days.  It’s not going to last forever, so strike while the bite is HOT!!!

Weekends are a circus out there, but with more clowns.  Play hooky, and go hook up on some fish during the week.  We have the following open morning trips in June:

6, 8, 11, 13, 14, 17, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30.

We can take up to 6 customers and dogs are welcome on board!

Maryland Rockfish Season

The 2023 Maryland resident Rockfish (striped bass) season is underway!  The legal limit is now two fish per charterboat customer between 19 and 31 inches.  Fishing has been a blast lately with multiple, simultaneous hookups occuring when the fish decide to bite.  With its new motor, transmission, propellor, trolling valve and spray rails, the Last Hurrah has never run or fished better!  We have a few holes in the May schedule, and several prime-time June dates.  We run seven days a week.  (Weekdays are superior fishing due to large, weekend crowds.)  Mornings run 5:30-11:30 and afternoons 12:00-6:00.  We can take groups up to six for private charter.  Customers are more than welcome to bring their dogs along as well!

Get Your Date Before They’re Gone

Season is almost here and we have a few May dates still available. We will be running two trips a day, 7-days a week out of Atlantic Marina on the Magothy River, conveniently located within 30 minutes of Annapolis and Balitmore. Monday through Thursday is always the best fishing due weekend crowds. We can take groups up to six and dogs are always welcome! Come experience Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay on The Last Hurrah!

Spring Chesapeake Fishing

The official 2023 Season Dates have been released: May 1st through May 15th will be trophy striped bass season. (1 fish per angler, 35″+). This is your best chance for that jumbo, fish of a lieftime. It’s not for everyone though as these fish are migratory, solitary and do not school up. Some days, you don’t capture one. May 16th through December 10th (with a 2 week break in July) is the regular striper season—2 fish per charter customer 19″+. The last two weeks of May and June are typically great fishing with lots of action and limits every day.
We can take a max of 6. Fishing out of Atlantic Marina on the Magothy in Pasadena, MD. Dogs are always welcome on The Last Hurrah. Mornings—5:30-11:30; afternoons—12:00–6:00. Weekdays are far better than weekends due to crowds.

Booking May Dates Now!

The proposed 2023 MD Striped Bass Season Dates are: Trophy Season-May 1st–May 15th
Regular Season-May 16th–December 10th (with a closure in July).

Trophy Season is your best shot at that monster, fish of a lifetime, but it’s not for everyone. These fish are migratory and not schooled up. There are days when you don’t capture one. For more consistent action, May 16th onward for the resident, schooled stripers (rockfish) is a better bet.

We can take a max of 6. We’ll be fishing out of Atlantic Marina on Magothy at 487 New York Avenue, Pasadena, MD 21122.
