Weekly Report: 11/19-11/25

Fishing was okay this week with some days better than others.    The boats that fished caught some nice “overs” trolling the big rig in the deep.   Several 30+ pound Rockfish are being checked in.   Last Hurrah has openings from now till 12/15 and is already Spring 2013 trips!

Weekly Report: 11/12-11/18

Fishing was a little up and down this week but the grade was solid.  The fish are scattered so trolling is the way to go.  The resident stripers were all 20 inches and up and fattter than footballs.  There are also some monster migratory stripers around. Yesterday, we boxed 10  with the biggest  being 44-inches and topping the scale at 35 pounds.  (pic below).  LHCF still has availability for Fall fishing dates.  The season ends 12/15 so book your trip today!

Weekly Report: 11/5-11/11

Fishing was a bit up and down this week with some days being really good and others just mediocre.  The grade of fish was excellent across the board though.  The resident Rockfish were all fat as footballs and some monster migrator-Rock were checked in by some boats this week which pushed the 50-pound mark!  The Fall is starting to take shape and is only gonna’ get better.  There are still some Nov. / Dec. dates available.

Weekly Report: 10/29-11/4

Well, we all got very lucky with Sandy and hardly missed a beat on the fishing scene.  The bite was terrible for two days but busted wide open again.  Yesterday was GAME-ON with the fleet limiting out on residents and BIG, migratory Rockfish!  Jumbos up to 47-inches being are being caught on the troll.  It’s shaping up for a rock-solid Fall fishery.  There is good bait, cool water, lots of resident Rock and monster migrators rolling into our area of the Bay.  I still have some good dates in November and December so contact me a.s.a.p. to get out there and fish!   (And yes, the boat’s cabin is fully enclosed and equipped with heat. )
