Weekly Report: 8/20-8/26

Rockfishing continues to be good to excellent and the Bluefish are thick!  Some Spanish Mackerel have shown up too making now a great time for a mixed bag!  On the bottom-fishing front, Spot, large White Perch and Croakers are being caught in big numbers.  There are even some puppy Drum around.  Contact me NOW for September dates—they are going fast!

Weekly Report: 8/13-8/19

Well, fishing was excellent for several weeks and we put Rockfish-limits in the box on 19 consecutive trips!!   However, it totally fell apart on Thursday morning and the last few days have been about as tough as it gets.   It’s important to remember that fish are wild animals and everything in their habitat affects them:  water temperature, barometric pressure, salinity, oxegyen levels, water-clarity, tides, moon-phases, bait availability, etc. etc.  You can’t whack and stack ’em every time and Mother Nature will serve up “Humble Pie”  one in a while.

Weekly Report: 8/6-8/12

Live-Lining for Striped Bass (a.k.a. “Rockfish”)  continues to be excellent.   The Last Hurrah has boxed limits on the last 17 consecutive trips!   On Friday, we hooked 12 and boxed 11 keepers  in under 15 minutes.    There are some nice Bluefish around as well.  On Thursday, we caught 28 Blues up to 5 pounds.  The Spanish Mackerel haven’t really shown up in numbers yet but there have been a couple spotted.  Here are some pics from the week….

Weekly Report: 7/30-8/5

Light-tackle fishing for Rockfish continues to be excellent. We have boxed Rockfish limits on the last 14-trips in a row! We are also catching large Bluefish.  The Spanish Mackerel should show up soon.  I still have dates in August but they are filling up fast.  Don’t delay, lock your trip in today!
