Weekly Report: 8/23-8/29

Fishing was good to excellent all week until Saturday when the tide refused to move and the fish shut down temporarily.  The bait-fishing was wide-open and live-lining Spot for Rockfish provided limits each trip.  There are lots of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish around as well and trolling produced a mixed bag.   All in all, a solid week of fishing!

Another week full of  “Chesapeake Slams”.  (Rockfish, bluefish and spanish mackerel in the same day.)   There were a few slow days mixed in, but for the most part all of the species cooperated nicely this week.   Some breaking fish provided light-tackle jigging opportunities as well.  Good numbers of mackerel were boated by the fleet.  If you like catching multiple species, now is the time to go!

Weekly Report: 8/9-8/15

The fishing was good just about all week with some days being excellent!  Most of the rockfish were caught on light-tackle using live Spot as bait.  Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel were trolled up after limits of rockfish were boxed.  Now’s a great time for catching muti-species.

Weekly Report: 8/2-8/8

This week started out great for rockfishing with the cold front making things a bit more challenging by Friday.  I caught some nice Spanish Mackeral over the weekend.  As always, they were a blast to catch.  Now is a great time to catch rockfish, bluefish and spanish mackerel all during the same trip!  Bottom fish such as croaker, white perch and spot are also availible in good numbers.   Call now to book a trip!
