Fishing has been action-packed with lots of throwbacks caught and released in order to box keeper-limits. We are averaging 30 to 75 bites a trip! The limit is now 2 rockfish per angler at 19 inches and up. We have some prime-time June weekdays available .
Okay, so the 2019 Trophy Rockfish Season was a challenging one to say the least, but that’s almost behind us. Starting Thursday, we can catch the resident Rock, the creel limit doubles, and they only have to be 19-inches.
Pack your bags, ’cause we’re going to “SMASHTOWN”! There are already a ton of nice, resident Rockfish around and we have been catching several each trip for the last week. The regular season should be a great one with fast action, full coolers and happy anglers.

The regular Rockfish Season begins May 16th when the limit doubles to 2 fish per angler and they only need to be 19″. You can still keep any big ones that may be around also. The MD Striped Bass Season is about a month away and charter dates are going quickly. Now is the time to book your trip and secure your fishing adventure on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. We still have some prime dates in April and May. We strongly recommend booking a weekday if at all possible due to crowds. Spring Trophy Rockfish Season on the Chesapeake Bay is right around the corner. Trophy Season starts: Saturday, April 20th and goes to May 15th. During this period, all striped bass (rockfish) must be 35 inches or longer and each customer is allowed to keep one. From May 16th to December 15th, the size requirement is 19 inches and each customer is allowed two fish and the crew can keep one.
We run two trips a day, seven days a week. Mornings depart at 5:30 a.m. and afternoons at 12:30. Weekdays are always easier because the crowds are smaller. We can take a max of 6 customers. Less folks is fine, but pricing is flat for the boat and we do not mix groups—-one group hires the boat for their private charter.
