The Bite is Right, Tight, & Outta’ Sight!

The Fishing is starting to get RED HOT!!  Hooking 5 to 20 fish simultaneously is becoming commonplace.   Ironically, our schedule is full of open dates.  The season ends on December 10th, and from now until then can be the best fishing of the year!  The boat is enclosed and heated and it doesn’t even get “cold” in Maryland anymore, so don’t use that as an excuse.   Book your Fall Chesapeake fishing trip aboard The Last Hurrah now while the fish are snapping!

37 Days Left in the Season

Time for one, LAST HURRAH!  The weather is cooling down and the fishing is heating up on the Chesapeake Bay.  It’s only gonna’ get better and we’ll fish every day right up until December 10th when the season closes.  It’s not uncommon to hook 5 to 10 fish at once when they start biting.  The boat is enclosed and heated.  We can take up to 6 customers.

Let’s Go Catching!

Only a Month and a Half of Fishing Season Left

Fall fishing on the Chesapeake Bay is heating up big-time with the best yet to come!  We’ve been boxin’ Rockfish limits on every trip with fish up to 33 inches.  The season runs until December 10th and we have prime dates open.  The boat is fully enclosed and heated so let’s go catching!  Here are some pics from the last week:

ROCKTOBER!!! Open Dates

The weather is perfect and the fish are fat!  There is bait everywhere and the Rockfish are plump footballs.  They are scattered and it takes some patience and work some days, but we have been putting together nice boxes of Rockfish limits on every trip.  The calendar is loosening up and now is the time to BOOK YOUR FALL FISHING TRIP ABORD THE LAST HURRAH.   (Season goes till December 10th.)

Open October dates:   9th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 20th 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 26th, 27th, 28th, 30th and 31st.

Chesapeake Fall Fishing —BOOK NOW!

We had a few inconsistent days, but the striper fishing is heating up again and now is the time to get on the Fall calendar!  We have open dates for October.  The season runs until December 10th, and don’t be wimps about the weather.  It doesn’t even get cold in MD anymore and the boat is heated.  Let’s go catching!

Just a few days left open in September

It’s been a crazy-busy summer for Last Hurrah Charters.  We have chased fish all over the middle and upper Chesapeake Bay.  Rockfish season resumed on 9/1 and will go until December 10th this year.  The boat is back in Herrington Harbour North Marina, in Tracy’s Landing, Maryland.  It is one of the nicest marinas in the country and we are glad to be in our primary slip.  Nothing has been easy in 2020, but we have persevered and filled the fish-box on almost all of our trips.  Bottom-fishing for Norfolk Spot and White Perch is still on fire, and we will continue to live-line for Rockfish until the bait becomes scarce.

These are our last open dates for September:  9th 14th, 15th, 22nd, 28th, 29th and 30th.

Mixed Bag Fishing

There’s no targeting Rockfish (striped bass) from August 16th to August 31st this year.  We’ve been having a blast catching other species. There are plenty of Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and White Perch around.  Starting  Tuesday, everything is fair game once again.  Mixed Bag Fishing!  We have a handful of open trips for the month of September.  Shoot us an email to book your multi-species Chesapeake Bay Fishing Trip!

Spanish Mackerel Time! Open August Dates.

The Last Hurrah is back in Tracy’s Landing (Deale) and we will be chasing Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish for the next two weeks.  This is a blast and the limits are much higher than most fish—-15 macs per man and 5 blues per man.  Let’s go fill the fish-box!  We have the following open dates:
August 18, 19, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29-am only,  30-am only, and 31.

We can take up to 6 customers but less is fine.  Let’s go catching!

Summer is Nearly Over….Time for one Last Hurrah!

Hey Fish Fans,
It’s been a stellar season so far.  We’ve fished the last 80+ days straight and boxed Rockfish limits on all but three trips.  It’s too windy to fish today, but the rest of the week should be fine.  We have a Rockfishing charter open this Sunday, August 9th due to a cancellation!  We’re still running out of Annapolis.  We also have Spanish Mackerel/Bluefishing combo trips open:  August 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 leaving from Tracy’s Landing/Deale, MD.
We can take a max of 6 customers and everything is included but First Mate’s tip.  Let’s go Catching!

Fishing is Hotter Than The Weather !!

Summer is flying by quickly, and NOW is the time to book your Chesapeake Bay fishing trip!  We have just a few dates available before September.  It’s looking like we’ll be fishing out of Annapolis until at least mid-August.  Live-Lining for Rockfish has been good to stellar most days with a few successful “grinds” mixed in to keep things interesting.  There is no Rockfishing allowed from August 16th through the 31st.  This will be the time to whack-n-stack, Spanish Macs!   Last year was the best Spanish Mackerel run in Chesapeake history with 30 to 50 fish catches being commonplace.  Bluefish are also starting to make their way up the Bay.  Shoot us an email today and let’s go catching!
