Maryland Season starts May 1st this year, and we will be running two trips a day, seven days a week. Mornings depart 5:30 a.m., afternoons at noon or 1:00. We can take a max of 6-customers. One group hires the boat for private charter. All licenses, rods, reels, gear, tackle and fish-ice are provided. Book now for a beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay!

Don’t be fooled by the weather—Spring is right around the corner and so is Trophy Rockfish Season on the Chesapeake Bay. Last Hurrah Charter Fishing LLC still has some prime dates available, but they are going fast. Keep in mind that there are SEVEN days in the week and Saturday & Sunday are the toughest ones to fish. It’s very over-crowded out there which spooks fish and makes maneuvering highly difficult. We strongly recommend booking a weekday if at all possible!
After May 15th, the Rockfish limit doubles and the size minimum drops. These last two weeks have been phenomenal fishing the last 4 or 5 seasons. The 2018 Maryland Spring Trophy Rockfish Season is right around the corner and dates are filling up quickly. April 21st is opening day and the weather and water temperature are much more favorable than last year at this time. We are optimistic regarding the migration and are looking forward to a great trophy season.
Just a reminder that we run two trips a day, seven days a week. Everyone wants “Saturdays”, but remember that there are six other, better days in the week to go fishing. Saturdays get extremely crowded on the Chesapeake and boats spook fish! I have some prime weekday mornings open such as: April 26th, May 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th and 10th. If you must have a weekend date, Mothers Day–Sunday, May 13th, is wide open and I have some w/e afternoon trips available. (Saturday, May 26th, is my first open Saturday morning.)
