Few May Dates Remaining

The Season starts May 1st which is right around the corner!  We are working feverishly to ensure that the boat and gear are ready to fish.   We still have some prime-time May dates left to fill, but they are going quickly so don’t procrastinate.  We run a 5:30 a.m. and a noon trip every day of the week and we can take up to 6 customers.

Season Starts May 1st—Dates Going Fast!

The Maryland Striper Season kicks off: May 1st with the first 15 days being “Trophy” Season.  This is when the jumbo, migrating fish are in the Bay for their annual spawning ritual.  May 16 through December 10th is the regular, resident striper season when the fish are smaller but the action is typically faster.  We’ll be running out of Tracy’s Landing (Deale) MD for all of May and then moving the boat north for the summer to stay on the bite.  Our new, summertime marina is:  Atlantic Marina on the Magothy in Pasadena.  This facility is a major improvement over past summers, and while closer to the fishing grounds, it is only a few minutes north of Annapolis by car.

We run two trips a day, 7-days a week and we can take a maximum of 6 customers.  Mornings depart- 5:30; afternoons- 12:00.  One group hires the boat for private charter.  We are family & dog-friendly so bring your pups!
We are looking forward to another great season.  Dates are going fast—Book your Chesapeake Fishing Charter aboard The Last Hurrah today!!

May Dates Still Open. New Summertime Marina!

The season starts May 1.  The first 15 days is Trophy Rockfish Season and the best chance for that jumbo fish of a lifetime.  If more action is the goal, resident Rockfish season runs May 16 –Dec. 10th.  We’ll be at our usual, beautiful Herrington Harbour North Marina in Tracy’s Landing/Deale for all of May and the Fall.  From June through August, the Hurrah is going home!  We are happy to announce our new summertime marina is:  Atlantic Marina on the Magothy, (The Last Hurrah’s original dry-dock marina).  For the last five summers, we have moved the boat north to Annapolis to stay on the fish.  Last year, even that wasn’t far enough.  This new marina is only a few minutes longer by road from the south but will save considerable time on the water.  Plus, it is an excellent facility and a major upgrade over past summer dockages.

We are now booking May and June trips.  We can take a maximum of 6 customers.  We run two trips a day, 7 days a week.  5:30 a.m. and 12 noon departures.

8 Days of Season Left!

The Maryland Season is over on December 10th.  Time for one, Last Hurrah!

Fishing is red hot right now.  We have prime dates open.  Boat is enclosed and heated.  Let’s go catching !

Fall Pattern is ON!

A little cold front has unleashed the fish and it’s been game-on out there the last few days.  From now until December 10th is the best time of the year to go fishing.  Ironically, the calendar is way too open!  Fish are schooling up and biting like crazy.  This is the time of year when hooking 10 to 20 fish simultaneously is fairly commonplace.  We can take a max of 6 customers, but less is fine.  One group hires boat for private charter.  Let’s go catching!  (Boat is enclosed, heated and comfortable).

Here are open dates:
November: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27.
December:  3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

Weather Cooling Down/Fishing Heating Up

It’s finally starting to act like Fall out  there, and the fish are getting feisty!  We’ve had some recent trips with 5 to 15 nice Rockfish hooked up simultaneously.  Let’s book up November and December. Our last open October dates are:  20, 21, 25, 26, 28.

Open This Saturday a.m.

Weather is awesome and fishing is good.  Let’s go!

Open Dates This Week!

Fishing is starting to heat up and we have open October dates starting this week—Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are currently available.   The season runs until December 10th.   Now’s the time to book!

Open September Dates

Summer is almost over, but the fishing season is only halfway finished.  We are still boxing limits of nice Rockfish with light-tackle and catching tons of fat, White Perch.  Here are September dates that are currently open for a.m. or p.m. charter:  6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 28 & 29.
