The Rock-Fishing was a bit hit-or-miss this week. The Spot are still available for live-lining and there still a few Spanish Mackerel hanging around. The Bluefish continue to be caught in strong numbers. There were occasional pods of breaking fish creating jigging opportunities. No doubt the bite will get right again very soon!

Nice mix of keeper Rockfish, Bluefish, and Spanish Mackerel this week! My friend, Capt. Karl, fished with me on Tuesday and we found some breaking Rockfish with some monster-sized Macs hanging with them. Live-lining continued to be good with trolling getting a nice variety of species.
Fishing was good to excellent all week until Saturday when the tide refused to move and the fish shut down temporarily. The fishing was good just about all week with some days being excellent! Most of the rockfish were caught on light-tackle using live Spot as bait. Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel were trolled up after limits of rockfish were boxed. Now’s a great time for catching muti-species.
