2 Fish Season is in Full Swing

The Rockfish limit is now 2 per angler, 19″ and longer.  Fishing is stellar for those dialed in and we are enjoying fast action and full fish boxes.  We are currently booking June and July but also have May 29th – 31st open for charter.  Here are some pics of the past week’s fun:

Rockfish Limit Doubles on Wednesday

The 2018 Trophy Rockfish Season was a challenging one, but starting on May 16th, the Rock limit doubles to:  TWO fish per angler and they only have to be 19-inches.  If there are still big ones around, you can keep them too!  There are already a ton of quality resident Rockfish around in the Chesapeake Bay and the season-switch is sure to be a blast.  Here are some May openings in the charter booking calendar:
May 25th–p.m. only
May 28th–p.m. only
May 29th–a.m. only
May 30th—a.m. or p.m.
May 31st—a.m. or p.m.

Time to Book Your Chesapeake Fishing Trip

The 2018 trophy striped bass season is well under well.  Unusually cold water temps delayed the spawning process making for a slow start, but things are starting to improve.  We are currently filling a few holes in the May schedule and booking the month of June.  On May 16th, the legal limit on stripers (a.k.a. Rockfish) doubles and the size limit drops to 20″.  There are already some beautiful resident Rockfish around and we are looking forward to an awesome late-May / early-June bite!  Shoot us an email or call today to book your trip.

One Month Out….

Opening Day is April 21st this year, so we are less than a month away from the start of another Trophy Rockfish Season.  Conditions are shaping up nicely, and all signs are pointing to a great Spring striper migration on the Chesapeake Bay.  Here are the last few trophy season morning trips available:   4/26, 5/3, 5/7, 5/8,  5/10, & 5/13.  We also have some afternoons open as well as some May trips after the size switch.  Contact us today to book your trip!

There are 6 other days in the week.

The 2018 Maryland Spring Trophy Rockfish Season is right around the corner and dates are filling up quickly.  April 21st is opening day and the weather and water temperature  are much more favorable than last year at this time.  We are optimistic regarding the migration and are looking forward to a great trophy season.

Just a reminder that we run two trips a day, seven days a week.   Everyone wants “Saturdays”, but remember that there are six other, better days in the week to go fishing.  Saturdays get extremely crowded on the Chesapeake and boats spook fish!   I have some prime weekday mornings open such as:  April 26th, May 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th and 10th.   If you must have a weekend date, Mothers Day–Sunday, May 13th, is wide open and I have some w/e afternoon trips available.  (Saturday, May 26th, is my first open Saturday morning.)  Email or call for other available dates.  We can take up to 6 customers.  All licenses, rods, reels, gear and fish-cleaning are provided.
