We have boxed 13 quick Rockfish limits in a row now with the average size being way above normal for the month of June. Most days, we are catching multiple fish 30-37 inches on light spinning rods. It doesn’t get more fun than that. We are currently booking trips for this week. Here’s some pics from last week.
Catching the live bait has been challenging to say the least. However, once procured, these spotted gems have been crushing big rockfish in fast fashion. The live-line bite couldn’t possibly be any hotter with limits coming over the rail in minutes and fish up to 37-inches on light tackle! It just doesn’t get any better. Now is the time to get in on the action. Last Hurrah Charters still has a few prime June dates left to fill. All trips require a $200 deposit to hold the date.

Rockfishing has been phenomenal lately with quick limits and abnormally BIG fish for this time of year. We have been catching some nice 26-30 inch fish while trolling and live-bait fishing. The white perch and spot are starting to show up and we have even seen a few croakers this past week. Soon, the Spot fishing will be fast and furious and we’ll be live-lining everyday. Fishing for Rockfish out of Deale, MD couldn’t be better than it has been the last few weeks. A nice grade of Rockfish has been available and we have been boxing fast limits. Oftentimes, the fish are in a feeding frenzy breaking the surface and every rod hooks up at once.
The Spot fish are starting to show up and it’s about that time to start LIVE LINING! We will be using live bait and light spinning gear to catch our Rockfish soon.
