Weekly Report: 8/29-9/4

Well, an earthquake, tornados, and a hurricane all in the same week was pretty nuts and cost us some trips.    It was worthwhile hauling the boat for a few days though.  It gave me a chance to replace some zincs and touch-up some bottom paint.

This week provided us with better weather and great fishing!  The live-lining is still red hot and we crushed the rockfish as recently as yesterday.  The hardest part was catching enough live bait.  The Spot-fishing is becoming more challenging but the Rockfish remain cooperative.  Soon we will switch over to trolling and jigging exclusively.  There were some more Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel caught this week as well.

Now is the time to book your FALL FISHING TRIP aboard The Last Hurrah.  October through mid-December can provide some of the best fising of the year with acres of resident rockfish breaking on the surface and monster ocean-run fish migrating back up the Bay.  Call or email soon before the calendar is full!!
