Available Dates for Spring Fishing

Opening Day (April 20th) is coming fast.  I am getting a lot of calls about availability so I will list available spring dates below.  If you’re serious about increasing your chances, book a weekday!   The world is overpopulated and the Chesapeake Bay is a prime example—There are insane crowds on the weekends which spook the fish and make turning /maneuvering with planer boards next to impossible.   We run two trips a day, EVERY day.   5:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. departures.   One group hires the boat for private charter.  We can take a max of 6.

Open Spring Morning Trips:   4/24, 4/25, 4/29, 5/1, 5/2, 5/6, 5/7, 5/11, 5/12, 5/13, 5/14, 5/15, 5/19, 5/21, 5/22, 5/24,  5/26, 5/27, 5/29, 5/30.

Open Spring Afternoon Trips:   4/20, 4/21, 4/22, 4/23, 4/24, 4/25, 4/26, 4/28, 4/29, 4/30, 5/1, 5/4, 5/5, 5/6, 5/7, 5/8, 5/9, 5/10, 5/11,  5/12 thru 5/24,   and 5/26 thru 5/31.

Booking Spring 2019 Trips Now!

2019 is here and Last Hurrah Charters is already booking Spring Trophy Striped Bass (Rockfish) trips on the Chesapeake Bay.  The season kicks off on the 3rd Saturday in April (4/20).  We run 2 trips a day, 7-days a week.  We can take a max of 6 customers.   We only have a short window to catch these migratory JUMBOS.  Dates are limited, so don’t wait to reserve your Trophy Rockfish trip!

There are 6 other days in the week.

The 2018 Maryland Spring Trophy Rockfish Season is right around the corner and dates are filling up quickly.  April 21st is opening day and the weather and water temperature  are much more favorable than last year at this time.  We are optimistic regarding the migration and are looking forward to a great trophy season.

Just a reminder that we run two trips a day, seven days a week.   Everyone wants “Saturdays”, but remember that there are six other, better days in the week to go fishing.  Saturdays get extremely crowded on the Chesapeake and boats spook fish!   I have some prime weekday mornings open such as:  April 26th, May 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th and 10th.   If you must have a weekend date, Mothers Day–Sunday, May 13th, is wide open and I have some w/e afternoon trips available.  (Saturday, May 26th, is my first open Saturday morning.)  Email or call for other available dates.  We can take up to 6 customers.  All licenses, rods, reels, gear and fish-cleaning are provided.

Springtime is the short window to catch a monster Rock.  Book your Spring Trophy Rockfish trip on The Last Hurrah today!
