Charter Operations and Covid-19 Update

Last Hurrah Charters will commence charter operations on May 16th with some special precautions.  We will be providing sanitizer on board, wiping surfaces frequently, and requiring customers to wear masks while in the confined space of the wheelhouse.

Starting May 16th, charterboats are allowed 2 striped bass per customer at 19 inches or larger.   The last few weeks of May can be some of the best fishing of the year.  We offer a 5:30 a.m. trip and an afternoon trip that departs at noon or 1:00.  We may be moving the boat to our Annapolis marina in June depending on where the fishing is better.   We can take a max of six customers, but less is fine.

Currently, May 16, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 are available.

Please contact us today to book your trip!

Available Dates Starting this Weekend!

The weather is cooling down but the fishing is still hot.  With schools back in session and vacations spent, bookings have slowed.   Last Hurrah Charters has prime dates open for charter as soon as this weekend.  We’ll fish everyday possible until the season ends on December 15th, so take advantage of the great fishing and smaller crowds on the Bay right now!  We run morning and afternoon trips for groups up to six.   Hurry while there are still Spanish Mackerel around to chase!

Back in Deale, Bookin’ Trips and Rippin’ Lips!

The Last Hurrah is back in her usual berth at Herrington Harbour North Marina in Tracy’s Landing (Deale, MD).  The weather is cooling down but the fishing is still HOT.  We run every day that we can book until December 15th, so book your FALL FISHING TRIP on the Chesapeake with us today!  Let’s go catchin’!

One Last Hurrah for Summer Fishing

The Last Hurrah is still docked in Annapolis and will continue fishing out of there until something changes with the fish.  Currently, fishing is excellent close to our Naptown marina and we are enjoying light-tackle limits of Striped Bass (Rockfish) and loads of Perch and Spot.  Some days, Spanish Mackerel are also available.  We have some open dates for the second half of August, so book your trip now and have one “last hurrah”  this summer.

Open August Dates:  14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31.

Fishing is HOTTER than the Weather

Despite all of the fear-mongering from the worthless weathermen, Last Hurrah Charters ran twelve trips last week and smashed fish on every one.  Light-tackle Striped Bass (Rockfish) and White Perch fishing just doesn’t get any better.  200-400 fish days were the norm last week.  And as for the weather….it’s summer…it gets hot in the summer.  Pack some water and Gatorade and come fishing with us.  This bite is not gonna’ last forever, so contact us today to book your summer smashfest on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.  We are still running out of Annapolis and we have open early-August dates available.

7 Minute Bass

The light-tackle fishing for striped bass is off of the chain right now.  10 in 7 minutes this morning and a 150  White Perch afterwards.  Weekday trips are the best as there are far too many clueless people with boats on the Bay, and they make our job infinitely  more difficult.

We are still fishing out of Annapolis.  We offer two trips a day, seven days a week and we can take up to 6 customers.

Open July Morning Trips:  7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31.

May 16th— Regular Rockfish Season Commences!

Okay, so the 2019 Trophy Rockfish Season was a challenging one to say the least, but that’s almost behind us.   Starting Thursday, we can catch the resident Rock, the creel limit doubles, and they only have to be 19-inches.
Pack your bags, ’cause we’re going to “SMASHTOWN”!   There are already a ton of nice, resident Rockfish around and we have been catching several each trip for the last week.  The regular season should be a great one with fast action, full coolers and happy anglers.

Last Hurrah Charters is currently booking up its last few May dates as well as June.
