The Maryland Striped Bass Season re-opens on Monday, August 1st and runs until December 10th. There are plenty of Perch, Spot and Catfish around also. Bluefish are starting to make their way north. Spanish Mackerel have also made an appearance down the Bay, although they aren’t quite close enough for us yet.
Last Hurrah Charter Fishing still has some prime-time August dates available. We run 5:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:00–6:00 p.m., 7 days a week. Mon.-Thurs. is by far the best bet as weekend crowds have been enormous and even more disrespectful and discourteous than usual.

The Last Hurrah
The Season starts May 1st which is right around the corner! We are working feverishly to ensure that the boat and gear are ready to fish. We still have some prime-time May dates left to fill, but they are going quickly so don’t procrastinate. We run a 5:30 a.m. and a noon trip every day of the week and we can take up to 6 customers.
Fishing is good and the summer is winding down. We have just a few prime dates left for charter. (Forget the weekends; the crowds ruin the fishing!!)

The Season Starts: May 1st. “Trophy Season” runs until May 15th and then the Rockfish limit doubles and the min. size becomes 19″.
We run two trips a day, seven days a week. Mornings depart no later than 5:30, afternoons between noon and 1:00. Weekends are the worst days to go—boat traffic and fishing pressure are ridiculous! Monday through Thursday is best. We will be running out of Deale during May and out of Annapolis June through August.

Season starts May 1st. First two weeks is “Trophy Rockfish Season” and the best chance for a migratory jumbo. From May 16th on, the resident Rockfish are in play and the actions increases. The Season Starts May 1st this year. Trophy Rockfish Season runs until May 15th, and then the regular Rockfish Season runs from May 16th —Dec. 10th. We fish twice a day, seven days a week, but I strongly recommend going mid-week. Weekends are a crowded circus out there which spooks fish and makes catching tougher. Ironically, I have several Tuesdays open which are prime! We will be departing from Herrington Harbour North in Tracy’s Landing all of May. We can take a max of 6 customers, but less is fine too. We provide all licenses, rods, reels, tackle and fish-fileting.
