Last of the November Dates

November 15, 17, 24, & 25 are our only remaining open November dates.

December 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 are also open.

Fishing is heating up!  Let’s go catching!

Fall Pattern is ON!

A little cold front has unleashed the fish and it’s been game-on out there the last few days.  From now until December 10th is the best time of the year to go fishing.  Ironically, the calendar is way too open!  Fish are schooling up and biting like crazy.  This is the time of year when hooking 10 to 20 fish simultaneously is fairly commonplace.  We can take a max of 6 customers, but less is fine.  One group hires boat for private charter.  Let’s go catching!  (Boat is enclosed, heated and comfortable).

Here are open dates:
November: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27.
December:  3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

2 Months of Season Left—Time for one, LAST HURRAH!

The weather is perfect and the fishing is heating up nicely.  The Rockfish bite should only get bet better as we transition into the Fall pattern.  We catch Rockfish (a.k.a. striped bass)  consistently all the way until the season ends on:  December 10th.  Don’t sweat the weather—it doesn’t even get really cold anymore, and the boat is enclosed and heated.  There are even a few Red Drum still around, but they won’t stay long.  Book your Fall fishing trip on the Chesapeake Bay now!!

  1. Due to a cancellation, Last Hurrah Charter Fishing is now open this Saturday for charter! Departing 6:00 a.m. out of Herrington Harbor North Marina.  We can take up to 6 customers.

Rocktober

We are now booking October trips.  The MD Season runs until December 10th and the best fishing has yet to come!  We are back in Tracy’s Landing (Deale).  We run 7 days a week.  Forget the weekends!!!  If you want the best chance of smashing fish, book a weekday!!  Massive, ignorant crowds spook fish and ruin the bite on weekends.

Season Starts May 1st & Dates Are Going Fast

Fall Fishing on The Chesapeake

We are well into October and it’s time to book up the dates from now until the season closes on December 15th.   Yesterday, we targeted Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish and caught 30 Blues and 20 Macs!  The Macs are definitely on the way out of the Bay, but the Blues should be around for a bit longer.  There are a lot of undersized Rockfish schooling up, but the Fall pattern with plentiful, fat “football” fish should bust loose soon.  There are still plenty of Spot fish around for live-bait fishing.  (Just my mate and I caught 225 the other day in 1 hour.)  For those of you that are soft:  NO, it’s not “too cold” out there in November and December!   The boat is fully enclosed and heated and it doesn’t even get that cold anymore around here.  The last few months are prime-time and can provide some of the best fishing of the year.  Get your Fall trip on the Chesapeake booked now!

The Last Hurrah Has Open Trips This Weekend and Throughout October

Summer is over and it’s now time for “Rocktober”!   It’s been an awesome year so far and the best is yet to come.  The Spanish Mackerel bite in September was nothing short of epic!  There are still Macks and Bluefish around and Rockfish of all sizes.  Contact us ASAP to book!

Fish Boxes are Filling Up & So Is the August Calendar

Fishing continues to be excellent with the afternoon bite being better lately.  Too many  people / boats on the Bay  is usually our biggest challenge.  Book a weekday and plan on leaving early.  We run two trips a day, seven days a week.   Here are some light-tackle limits from the past week…
