Fishing is HOTTER than the Weather

Despite all of the fear-mongering from the worthless weathermen, Last Hurrah Charters ran twelve trips last week and smashed fish on every one.  Light-tackle Striped Bass (Rockfish) and White Perch fishing just doesn’t get any better.  200-400 fish days were the norm last week.  And as for the weather….it’s summer…it gets hot in the summer.  Pack some water and Gatorade and come fishing with us.  This bite is not gonna’ last forever, so contact us today to book your summer smashfest on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.  We are still running out of Annapolis and we have open early-August dates available.

Summer Fishing on the Chesapeake at its Best

We’re currently fishing out of Annapolis and the bite is right! We are catching limits of nice Rockfish every trip and the action is usually very fast. On most trips, we are utilizing light, spinning rods to do the work. The biggest challenge is the crowds because most Chesapeake boat owners don’t seem to understand that motor-noise spooks fish! We recommend booking a weekday if at all possible. Here are some pics from the last week…

Summer Light Tackle Fishing Out of Annapolis

The fish moved, so we did too!  The Last Hurrah is currently (and temporarily)  docked at:
7364 Edgewood Rd. Annapolis, MD 21403.   Slip # 2.

We are now chumming with light-tackle spinning rods.  The Rockfishing has been stellar with fast limits of fish up to 34 inches every trip.  We still have some June dates left to fill.  Remember, weekdays are far better due to smaller crowds.

Last Hurrah for 2017 Chesapeake Fishing

The season ends on December 20th so time is running out to take your Fall fishing trip aboard The Last Hurrah!  This last month and a half can be some of the best fishing of the year and we have open dates to fill.  Weekdays are always better fishing due to less little boats blasting over schools of fish and spooking them.  The action can be fast and furious when the fish go on the feed, and hooking a dozen at once is not unusual.  The boat is heated and comfortable.   Shoot us an email or give us a call today to book your Fall fishing trip on the Chesapeake Bay.

Booking the Rest of Our Summer Dates—63 & 2 Limit-Out Record So Far!

Last Hurrah Charter Fishing LLC has now caught 63 Rockfish Limits on its last 65 charters!  Some trips, we haven’t been able to keep a lure in the water, other trips required a herculean effort and every trick in the book. Regardless, the fish box has been full almost every day since mid May.

White Perch fishing is also off of the chain now and Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel are on the way.  The boat is currently running out of Annapolis and may /may not stay there for August  depending on what the fish do.

We still have some prime August dates available.  Email, text, or call today to reserve your August trip on the Chesapeake and get in on the fishing fun!
