Still Have Some Prime Spring Dates!

The Season is almost here!  Last Hurrah Charters still has some prime dates…
Open May mornings:  1,15, 17, 18, 19, 22, 30, 31
Open May afternoons:  2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 11, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31

We will be fishing out of Herrington Harbour North (421 Deale Road, Tracy’s Landing, MD) during May, & out of Atlantic Marina on the Magothy (487 New York Ave., Pasadena) for the summer.   All trips are approx. 6-hours.  We can take up to 6.

2021 Last Hurrah Open Dates

The season runs until December 10th and now is the time to go!!!  November is my favorite month of Rockfishing.  Fishing can be stellar when weekend crowds aren’t spooking the fish and ruining the bite.  Here are our last open dates for the year:

October:  28

November:  2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27.

December:  2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

Charters Available This Thursday & Satruday

There are only two and a half months of fishing season left, and this stretch can be the best of the year.  We have this Thursday, September 30th open, as well as Saturday, Oct. 2nd, and Oct.5th through Oct. 9th.

We can depart a.m. or p.m.   Private groups up to 6 people.

ROCKTOBER!!! Open Dates

The weather is perfect and the fish are fat!  There is bait everywhere and the Rockfish are plump footballs.  They are scattered and it takes some patience and work some days, but we have been putting together nice boxes of Rockfish limits on every trip.  The calendar is loosening up and now is the time to BOOK YOUR FALL FISHING TRIP ABORD THE LAST HURRAH.   (Season goes till December 10th.)

Open October dates:   9th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 20th 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 26th, 27th, 28th, 30th and 31st.

Whack-n-Stack Macs!

The Spanish Mackerel bite is nothing short of epic right now but it won’t last long.  Macs are extremely fast and once the water temps cool, they’re gone.  Forget about weekends!  Clueless crowds make everything exponentially more difficult on the weekends.  Take a day off of work, grab some friends, co-workers etc. and take a trip on The Last Hurrah.  We offer morning and afternoon departures, 7-days a week.  We can take a max of 6 customers, but less is fine.  (One group hires the boat and pricing is flat regardless of  party-size.)

We only had two gentlemen today, and they caught their rockfish limit, their 15 per/man spanish mackerel limit, 10 bluefish and 40 spot!

Two Months Left in the Season

There are only two months remaining in the 2017 Maryland Striped Bass Season and some of the best fishing of the year is about to happen.  Air and water temperatures are cooling and fishing is getting hot.  When the fish decide to bite, the action gets crazy in a hurry.  We had a few trips last week where we hooked 7 to a dozen good fish simultaneously.  The bite should only get better as the Fall unfolds.  We are currently booking trips for November and December.

 

Fishing Season Ends December 20th—-Booking Fall Trips Now

Fall fishing is here and we only have a few more months to chase Striped Bass in the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay.  Water temperatures are reluctant to drop, but once they do, the bite should get even better.  We’re currently catching limits of quality stripers but some days require patience and persistence.  Fish don’t eat all day long; especially in the Fall.  Being at the right place, at the right time, and doing all of the right things in the right way make the difference.  Remember, weekdays are always far better fishing due to fewer clueless weekend-warriors spooking fish and trying to run over our trolling gear.  We are only running one trip a day now so departure times are flexible.   We have some prime dates from now until the season-end on December 20th but they are going fast.  Call or email today to reserve your Fall fishing trip on the Chesapeake.
