Now Booking 2021 Spring Fishing Trips!!!

May 1st is Opening Day, and it’s right around the corner.  The legal limit during the 5/1 –5/15  trophy season is one rockfish (striped bass) per customer, 35 inches and longer.  From 5/16–12/10, the limit is two Rockfish per customer with a 19″ minimum.

We run two trips a day, seven days a week.  Weekdays are better fishing!!  Huge weekend crowds spook fish and make our job considerably tougher.  We run  a 5:30 a.m. charter and a noon/1:00 afternoon trip.   We can take a maximum of 6 customers; one group hires the whole boat and pricing is flat.  We collect a non-refundable deposit on every trip.  Dates are going quickly so don’t procrastinate!

Only 10 Day of Season Left & The Bite is On FIRE!

It’s all over December 10th, and we still have some prime days open for Fall Chesapeake Bay Rockfishing.  The bite is right and when you hit ’em, all rods go down.  There’s still time for one “Last Hurrah”,  so give us a call and let’s go catching!

Openings Thanksgiving Week

Forget the turkey; feast on some fresh Maryland Rockfish this week!  Fall fishing is as good as it gets on the Chesapeake Bay right now.   Having all rods double-over with 2 fish each is becoming commonplace.  When the fish school up tight and go on the feed, the action is fast and furious with all anglers fighting fish at once.  The weather has been ideal when the wind hasn’t blown and the fish are fat and tasty.  We can take a max of 6 customers, but less is fine.  We can depart earlier morning or early afternoon.  The boat is fully enclosed, heated and has a private bathroom.  We are very female and family-friendly.   We have November 24, 25, 26, 30, and December 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10 available.   Here are a few pics from the last couple of days…

It’s as good as it gets right now & WE HAVE THIS SATURDAY OPEN! (11/21/20)

Despite being booked TWICE, Last Hurrah Charter Fishing now has THIS SATURDAY OPEN again!!    You can depart anytime you want between 5:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Fishing is stupid-good right now. Let’s book it once and for all.

One Month Left—FISHING DOESN’T GET ANY BETTER THAN IT IS NOW!

The season ends December 10th and the BITE IS PHENOMENAL right now!   When the fish feed, the action is fast and furious with all rods going down at once and nice fish coming over the side.   The weather is perfect and the boat is enclosed, heated and comfortable.

We have plenty of weekdays and even a few weekend dates open.  Contact us ASAP to book your Fall fishing on the Chesapeake Bay.

Only a Month and a Half of Fishing Season Left

Fall fishing on the Chesapeake Bay is heating up big-time with the best yet to come!  We’ve been boxin’ Rockfish limits on every trip with fish up to 33 inches.  The season runs until December 10th and we have prime dates open.  The boat is fully enclosed and heated so let’s go catching!  Here are some pics from the last week:

Just a few days left open in September

It’s been a crazy-busy summer for Last Hurrah Charters.  We have chased fish all over the middle and upper Chesapeake Bay.  Rockfish season resumed on 9/1 and will go until December 10th this year.  The boat is back in Herrington Harbour North Marina, in Tracy’s Landing, Maryland.  It is one of the nicest marinas in the country and we are glad to be in our primary slip.  Nothing has been easy in 2020, but we have persevered and filled the fish-box on almost all of our trips.  Bottom-fishing for Norfolk Spot and White Perch is still on fire, and we will continue to live-line for Rockfish until the bait becomes scarce.

These are our last open dates for September:  9th 14th, 15th, 22nd, 28th, 29th and 30th.

Here are some pics from the last couple of weeks….

Spanish Mackerel Time! Open August Dates.

The Last Hurrah is back in Tracy’s Landing (Deale) and we will be chasing Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish for the next two weeks.  This is a blast and the limits are much higher than most fish—-15 macs per man and 5 blues per man.  Let’s go fill the fish-box!  We have the following open dates:
August 18, 19, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29-am only,  30-am only, and 31.

We can take up to 6 customers but less is fine.  Let’s go catching!
