Fall Fishing

It is already mid-September, and time to book your Fall fishing trip on the Chesapeake Bay.  The Last Hurrah is booking up the rest of the Maryland season, which runs until December 10th.  We are optimistic that this Fall is going to be a great one.  We can take groups up to six for private charter.  We run seven days a week, with the weekends being the toughest due to large, inconsiderate crowds.

Here is what we have open as of today:
September Open Dates:  13, 14, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 28
October Open Dates:  3, 4, 5, 9, through 31st all open
November:  All Open EXCEPT: 3, 9, 17, 19, and 21
December Open Dates:  1 through 10

7 Days a Week

We have open dates, and I’m not talking about Saturdays.  There are seven days in a week and Saturdays are the toughest out there due to massive, inconsiderate crowds.  Let’s get some of these prime, weekdays booked up!  Mornings run 5:30-11:30 and afternoons: 12:00-6:00 p.m.  We can take groups up to 6 for private charter.  Dogs are welcome.

 

 

One Last Hurrah Before Summer is Over

The Maryland Striped Bass (Rockfish) Season comes back in:  Tuesday, August 1st. There’s still time for one last hurrah aboard The Last Hurrah before summer is in the rearview.

Open August Dates: 4, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31.

We can take up to 6 human customers and dogs are always welcome.  Fishing has been phenomenal so far this summer.  Don’t miss out on the fun!

 

Tick, Tock

The clock is ticking and the 2023 MD Rockfish Season will be here before we know it. For those who want May and June dates, NOW is the time to secure them. Trophy Season is May 1 through 15, Regular Rockfish starts May 16 and goes through December 10th except for a 2 week break in July.
We can take up to 6 customers, but less is fine. Dogs are always welcome!

August Fishing Dates

There’s a 2-week Striped Bass Season Closure, but it’s back to business starting: August 1st. Last Hurrah Charters has prime dates open for August Striper fishing. Monday through Thursday is the way to go since weekend crowds are at their all-time worst and they have zero respect or common courtesy for anyone.
We can take a max of six customers; less is fine. Dogs are always welcome on board!

July and August Fishing

We have plenty of prime weekdays in July and August open.  We’re running out of the Magothy River and we can take up to 6 customers.  Dogs are also always welcome on board!

Summer Fishing

There’s nothing easy in 2022, but Last Hurrah Charter Fishing is still fishing.  On-water diesel is pushing $7/gallon and somehow there are still crowds of clueless boat operators on the water adding to the challenges.   Monday through Thursday is best.

LHCF is currently docked at Atlantic Marina on the Magothy—487 New York Avenue, Pasadena, MD 21122.

We have July and August weekdays open for Rockfish charters. We can take a max of 6.

The Season is almost here!  Last Hurrah Charters still has prime dates…
Open May Mornings  (5:30 till 11:30):  1,15, 17, 19, 22, 30, 31
Open May Afternoons (12:00 till 6:00):  2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 11, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
We will be fishing out of Herrington Harbour North (421 Deale Road, Tracy’s Landing, MD) during May, & out of Atlantic Marina on the Magothy (487 New York Ave., Pasadena) for the summer.   All trips are approx. 6-hours.  We can take up to 6 customers but less is fine.

Weather Cooling Down/Fishing Heating Up

It’s finally starting to act like Fall out  there, and the fish are getting feisty!  We’ve had some recent trips with 5 to 15 nice Rockfish hooked up simultaneously.  Let’s book up November and December. Our last open October dates are:  20, 21, 25, 26, 28.
