The trophy season was a grind but the regular rockfish is off and running now. The limit has doubled to two per angler and the size must be 19″+. The action has been good thus far with limits each trip.

Well, the 2022 Trophy Rockfish season was a disappointment, but the main event starts Monday—the regular/resident Rockfish Season. The limit goes from 1 to 2 fish per angler, the size requirement drops to 19″, and the action should be much greater since we’ll be targeting schooling, resident fish versus solitary migrators. We are already seeing signs that this should be a good year. May 31st is our last open morning trip this month, but we have afternoon trips (12:00–6:00) available as well as June and July dates.

There are 7 days in the week, and we fish all of them! The weekends are by far, the toughest fishing due to massive crowds. It’s well worth taking a weekday off from work to go Monday through Thursday. We fish two trips every day: 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 and 12-Noon to 6:00 p.m. All licenses, rods, tackle and fish-cleaning are provided. We’ll run out of HHN Marina in Tracy’s Landing for May, and then from Atlantic Marina on the Magothy for the summer months in order to stay on the fish. We are family and dog friendly!

The Season is just days away and the Last Hurrah has never looked or ran better! We have spent the last few months inside a shop working tirelessly, making major upgrades including a brand new Cummins 370 HP diesel motor.

We will be fishing out of Herrington Harbour North (421 Deale Road, Tracy’s Landing, MD) during May, & out of Atlantic Marina on the Magothy (487 New York Ave., Pasadena) for the summer. All trips are approx. 6-hours. Weekdays–$700 flat for boat; Sat./Sun.–$750. Mate works for tips. We can take up to 6.

The Season starts May 1st which is right around the corner! We are working feverishly to ensure that the boat and gear are ready to fish. We still have some prime-time May dates left to fill, but they are going quickly so don’t procrastinate. We run a 5:30 a.m. and a noon trip every day of the week and we can take up to 6 customers.
The season kicks off: May 1. Up until 5/15 is “Trophy” Rockfish Season and the best shot at that monster of a lifetime. If more action is the goal, resident Rock season runs May 16 –Dec. 10th. We’ll be at Herrington Harbour North Marina in Tracy’s Landing for all of May and the Fall. The MD Season goes until December 10th and this “last hurrah” can be the best fishing of the year!
