The Last Hurrah is currently running out of Annapolis for the next few months. We are using light-tackle to catch quick limits of Rockfish and the White Perch is getting rolling also. We had a cancellation for THIS SATURDAY afternoon!! Email Capt. Scott to book!
Trolling for Rockfish (striped bass) is good right now. We’ve caught limits on almost every trip since 5/16. Volatile weather has given the fish lockjaw a few times but when they do bite, it is game-on! It’s not uncommon to hook 8 or 10 at once. Weekends are the worst as huge, ignorant crowds make the fishing much tougher. We have prime June and July weekdays available. Last Hurrah Charters has prime June weekdays available. (Forget about weekends—crowds ruin fishing.) We offer two trips a day: 5:30 a.m. and noon/1:00 p.m. We are still running out of Tracy’s Landing/Deale but we will move the boat to Annapolis if necessary.
The Trophy Season may have been a bust, but the Regular Rockfish Season is in full swing, and with the exception of 5/16, it has been phenomenal so far! The limit is now TWO Rock per angler and they only have to be 19-inches. We have been smashing quick limits twice a day all week. The action is so fast and furious that sometimes, we can’t even get lures all the way deployed before a fish nails them. We’ve even boxed some nice fish in the 32-34″ class. Now all we need is: YOU!! We have lots of prime-time weekdays June that need booking. Let’s go catchin’!
Okay, so the 2019 Trophy Rockfish Season was a challenging one to say the least, but that’s almost behind us. Starting Thursday, we can catch the resident Rock, the creel limit doubles, and they only have to be 19-inches.
Pack your bags, ’cause we’re going to “SMASHTOWN”! There are already a ton of nice, resident Rockfish around and we have been catching several each trip for the last week. The regular season should be a great one with fast action, full coolers and happy anglers.

The regular Rockfish Season begins May 16th when the limit doubles to 2 fish per angler and they only need to be 19″. You can still keep any big ones that may be around also. These resident fish school up and they are easier to target on average. We have a few prime dates left to book. Here are a few recent pics of the Trophy Season….
The Maryland 2019 Fishing Season is off and running! The Trophy Rockfish run has been tough during the first few days, but the bite is showing signs of improvement and things can change substantially within a few hours on the Bay. The legal limit for Trophy Season is: One Rockfish (striped bass) per angler, per day at 35-inches or longer. Starting May 16th, the limit doubles to two fish per angler, one extra for the crew and they only need to be 19-inches and longer. These resident fish school up and the action has been excellent during the last 2 weeks of May in recent years.
We run 2 trips a day, seven days a week. 5:30 a.m. departure and 12:30 or 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon. We can take a max of 6 customers.
