Chesapeake Bay Fishing Reports featuring fishing reports of the striped bass fishing trips on the Chesapeake Bay from Annapolis Maryland

Weekly Report: 7/14-7/22

Live-Lining for Rockfish continues to be outstanding with most trips providing 15 rock within 15 minutes of setting the anchor.   We are also catching large white perch and jumbo spot.  Some bluefish are around further south as well.  The schedule is starting to open up so contact us to get in on the light-tackle action while it is HOT!

Weekly Report: 7/8-7/15

Light tackle fishing for Rockfish could not possibly be any better!  We fished 5 trips in the last four days and caught limits every time between 10 and 30 minutes of setting the anchor.   If you want to catch Rockfish with live bait and light spinning-tackle, now is the time to go!   We are also catching monster, citation-sized white perch and jumbo spot fish.  The bluefish are slowly starting to trickle in also.  Here are some shots from this weeks carnage:

Weekly Fishing Report: 6/17/2013

The Rockfishing could not possibly get any better.   Lately, boxing a limit of 13 keeper rockfish in 10-15 minutes using light tackle has been the norm!    It’s fast, it’s furious and it’s fun!   The bottom-fishing is also good with all of the White-Perch and Norfolk Spot you want.   We have a few openings left in June.  Call or email to reserve your day.

Fishing Report: 6/3/2013

Fishing is absolutely insane right now!  We are catching Rockfish faster than folks can reel them to the boat.  On Saturday, we caught our Rockfish limit by 8:00 a.m. and on Sunday, we caught our 13-fish limit plus another half-dozen releases by 7:00 a.m.!  We hooked TEN keeper Rock at one time and boxed them all!  It just doesn’t get any better.
The Black Drum seemed to have left.  We did manage to catch a nice one the other day before the party ended.   The Perch and Spot fishing is just starting to materialize.  We will be live-lining very soon.

Fishing Report: 5/27/13

Fishing is as good as it gets right now!  Some days it takes some patience for the tides and conditions to line up, but once they do, the catching is as fast as you can go!  Resident stripers are plentiful and the weather is getting nice.  We have some trips open this Tuesday-Friday.

Fishing Report: 5/21/2013

The 2013 Trophy Rockfish Season is in the books.  It was a great one and now the limit is 2-Rock per person per day, 18-inches +.    Due to cool weather and water temps, there are still big, migratory Rockfish around.  We are catching overs and unders right now and 40-80 pound Black Drum are around too!  Last Hurrah Charter Fishing LLC has open dates this week and next.  Contact via email or phone to book.  (Please do not leave comments on this post as I do not check them frequently).

Thanks, Capt. Scott

Trophy Rockfishing Report: 4/20/13-5/8/13

Howdy all,
The 2013 Spring Trophy Rockfishing season has been a great one so far!  Opening day was a quick limit, followed by 3 or 4 slow days and then full limits on 11 of the last 12 trips!  Some days have been fast and furious and others have been a slower pick, but as long as we box ’em, it’s all good.  The cool weather and low water temps should hopefully keep these big, migratory Rock around longer than usual.  We still have a few days in mid and late May open for charter.  Remember, after 5/15, the limit increases to 2 fish per person per day.

Here are some pics from the last few weeks:
