Chesapeake Bay Fishing Reports featuring fishing reports of the striped bass fishing trips on the Chesapeake Bay from Annapolis Maryland

Weekly Report: 9/30-/10/6

Rockfishing is still excellent along with Bluefishing.  White Perch and Spot are plentiful on the bottom-fishing scene.  The last few days have been windy and rough, but overall the cooler weather has made conditions more pleasant for us humans and the fish are still biting.  Last Hurrah Charters is trying to fill October dates.  Contact to book.

Weekly Report: 9/23-9/29

Fishing continues to be outstanding in the mid Chesapeake Bay.  A nice grade of Rockfish is eagerly taking live-bait offerings and jumbo Bluefish are also being caught on light tackle.  The weather is pleasant and the bite is hot.  Our calendar has opened up, so contact me for weekday or weekend dates.
The live-bait won’t be around for long.

Weekly Report: 9/9-9/15

The weather is cooling down but the Rockfish bite  is still red-hot.  Light-tackle fishing with live bait is still producing fast limits of keeper Rockfish.   On Saturday, we had a full box in a matter of minutes.  We are currently booking for October.

Weekly Report: 9/2-9/8

Fishing near Deale continues to be excellent.  Lots of Rockfish around with some Blues and Spanish Mackerel mixed in as well.  The weather is cooling down and the crowds are decreasing as summer winds to an end.  Now’s a great time to take a light-tackle charter trip while the live bait is still plentiful.

Call or email a.s.a.p. to book.

Weekly Report: 8/26-/9/1

So the kids are back in school, vacation days are used up, blah, blah, blah.
The fish don’t care and neither do I.    Fishing is phenomenal  right now and won’t last forever.  Let’s go get ’em, people. I have lots of September dates open.  We are still using live bait and light tackle to whomp Rockfish.  Our last trip resulted in 18 Rock within 10-minutes of dropping anchor.  Our limit was 13 but we couldn’t even get the lines back in before catching/releasing 5 more. Blues and Spanish Macs are also around and can be really good some days.   The bite is red-hot so play hooky, take the kids out of school and go fishing.

Weekly Report: 8/19-8/25

Last Hurrah Charters managed to catch 26 consecutive Rockfish limits!  On Thursday, the streak was blemished by an insane tide caused by the “Blue Moon.”    By the weekend, it was back to business as usual with limits in the box!  The White Perch and Spot fishing have become even better very close to Deale.  Spanish Mackerel are showing up and Bluefishing is very good some days.   There are even some Red Drum around.  The calendar is opening up and there are still prime dates for light-tackle fishing.

Weekly Report: 8/12-8/18

Light tackle Rockfishing continues to be excellent.  Bluefish are around in good numbers and the weather has been more than comfortable.  There’s still time to get a live-lining trip in before summer is over.  Contact me to book.  Just a reminder that Last Hurrah Charter Fishing is conveniently located in Deale, MD.   Deale is only 55 minutes from Baltimore, 45 minutes from Washington D.C. and just over an hour from Northern Virginia!  Let’s go fishing!

Weekly Report: 8/5-8/11

The light-tackle Rockfishing continues to be excellent.  Some days are a little better than others depending on how many boats are spooking the fish.  We have been fortunate to box Rockfish limits on 24 consecutive trips and are hoping to keep the streak alive as long as possible!  Bluefish are popping up here and there.  Some jumbo White Perch and Spot are still being caught as well.  Our schedule is starting to open up a bit so call to book a trip!

Weekly Report: 7/29-8/4

Live-lining for Rockfish continues to be as good as it gets!   Fish are plentiful, limits are quick and the light-tackle action is a blast.  There are bluefish and red drum around as well, although they are not close to the best Rock concentrations.   White Perch fishing is also crazy-good right now.  Catching a few hundred perch a trip is common.

Weekly Report: 7/21-7/29

Rockfishing continues to be off the charts!!  We have been boxing limits within 15 minutes of setting the anchor most trips.  We have also been catching anywhere from 100 to 300 jumbo white perch each trip.   Fishing just doesn’t get any better.  Starting to have some gaps in the calendar—give us a shout to book your Rockfish smack-down!
