Last Hurrah Charters continues to fill coolers with limits of big  striped bass…..we’re just doing it a little bit differently than past summers.  The lack of nearby bait in the right size has necessitated some adaptations but the results are better than ever.  The grade of fish has been unprecedented for summertime.  We have come back to the dock on many trips will all of the over-28 fish allowed by law and several fish have been in the 35-inch class.  We have some weekday and weekend-afternoon trips left to fill.  Contact us before summer is over!

Burning Fuel to Find the School

Lately, success has required long runs, lots of gear and technical fishing… but that’s what you pay us for!   We have been filling some nice boxes of fish despite some obstacles.  This season is yielding one of the best grades of Rockfish I have ever seen during the summer.  Weekends are stupid with crowds and we have weekdays open!  Call or email today to reserve your trip.

The Summer of Big Meat

Fishing continues to be excellent, with fast limits and big fish.    The bite-windows are short but when it turns on, it’s not uncommon to hook a dozen or more stripers at once.   Here are the pics from this weekend…

Summer Fishing

Despite ridiculous crowds and long runs, we have been boating nice Rockfish catches.  The weather has been calm and pleasant for the most part and the fish bite well once they are good and ready to do so.  Last Hurrah Charters still have some July and August dates left to fill and we strongly encourage booking weekdays to avoid the masses of weekend morons on the Bay.  Here are some recent pics….

Have Fish, Need Anglers

Howdy Fishy Friends.  Fishing is fantastic right now with a ton of hook-ups and some nice fish being boxed.  Most trips, our people are so worn out from cranking in fish that they argue among themselves as to who gets to take a break.  The calendar is starting to open up and we are currently filling in some dates for June and July.  We have prime dates up for grabs and want to book them while big fish are still around.

Summer Dates Filling Fast

Fast N Furious

Fishing is awesome right now with sizes all over the place.  You never know what grade of rockfish is going to hit next.  On Friday, we just deployed our lures when we went over a massive school of big fish and hooked TWENTY-TWO  rockfish at once!  Most of them were big fish in the 15 to 25 pound class.  It was total chaos on board as all six anglers were cranking in 32+ inch  fish, 2 at at time as fast as they could.   We have some openings starting this Thursday through the weekend.  Contact us to book.

Things are Heating Up

Bite is Right

Fishing is good and so is the weather.  There are still a few big, migratory fish around and the resident Rock are in the main stem of the Bay.  The hateful slot-limit is over and anglers can now keep 2 Rockfish a day over 20-inches, with only one of those being over 28 inches.  Here are some pics from the last few trips.
