14 Consecutive Rockfish Limits and Counting….

Fishing doesn’t get any better than it is right now.  Last Hurrah has boxed rock limits on the last 14 trips and is looking to keep the streak alive.  For the past week, we have been limiting out before 7:30 a.m. with many of the fish over 40-inches.

We have some openings this week.  Take advantage of great fishing before these big, migrating Rock leave the Bay.

May 2014 Fishing Report

Fishing is off the chain right now with quick limits and a great grade of fish.   The last few days, we have boxed limits before breakfast time with a 30+ pound fish each trip.   The bite is getting right and I have a few slots in May to fill.  Here are some recent pics:

Trophy Rockfishing—Don’t miss out

Trophy Rockfishing in the Chesapeake Bay is in full swing and it’s only gonna’ get better.  The cold weather has everything a bit behind schedule.  We are still catching lots of nice Rockfish but many fish are still spawning up in the rivers or making their way up the Bay.  The middle to end of May should be off the chain.  Last hurrah Charters is right in Deale, MD and still has open dates in May.

Let’s go fishing!

Almost here…

The weather may still feel like duck hunting season, but Trophy Rockfish season is only a few short weeks away.  Captain Scott has been working every day cleaning and maintaining the boat and rigging all of the gear.  It takes a lot of time and expense for proper preparation and neither has been spared this offseason.  From extensive preventative mechanical-maintenance to repairing and lubricating 35 trolling reels to retying over 100 custom lures,  Last Hurrah Charters has covered the bases.  Only a coat of bottom-paint and a few  more coats of wax to apply before The Last Hurrah is ready for launch.

We are looking forward to a stellar Trophy Rockfish Season on the Bay and LHCF only has a few prime dates left to fill.     Please call or email a.s.a.p. to reserve your date before they are all booked.

Trophy Season Dates are going fast….

Don’t be fooled by the crazy weather—Trophy Striped Bass (Rockfish) Season is right around the corner!  I still have a few prime dates left to fill.  I  spent the winter working on tackle and tying enticing lures to catch the big ones.   Email or call as soon as possible to book your trips.  A $200 deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

2014 Trophy Rockfishing—Time to Book

2013 was a great season.  Last Hurrah Charters ran several more trips than the previous year and we are proud to have LIMITED-OUT on ROCKFISH ON 75% of ALL TRIPS IN 2013.   We take pride in putting fish in the box and we appreciate all of our loyal customers who continue to support us.

Repeat customers are encouraged to secure their same date as last Spring.  However, on Feb. 1, I am opening my book to the public and will be booking Spring Trophy Rockfish Trips on a first-come, first-serve basis.  There will be NO price increase from last year and as usual, fish-cleaning will be complimentary.

We will be running 2 trips a day, every day from April 19th to May 15th.  A deposit will be required to hold all trips.  We fish in just about any weather with the exception of very severe wind and wave conditions.

Please call, email, or Facebook message us as soon as possible to reserve your Trophy Rockfish trip.  We look forward to getting you out there and on fish.
